Peel Paint
About a week ago, I started having a lot of trouble entering and editing posts using the Firefox browser on DCP. The specs of what's involved: this happens on all three different PCs I use regularly, one with Win7, the other two WinXP, using either Firefox versions 3.5 or 3.6. I can start typing a post as usual, but I can't see a cursor in the window. I can't reposition the now-invisible cursor using either the mouse, or backspace or delete or arrow keys on the keyboard. So there's no way to make a correction or addition in the middle of the text I've typed. This is not an intermittent problem. It worked until a week or two ago, then just stopped working. The workaround is to use Internet Explorer. IE8 works normally. But I'd rather use Firefox. Firefox did just update last week to version 3.6, but the problem is also occurring with FF 3.5. I'm not seeing this FF-specific issue on other forum websites, though I don't use other IP.Board websites.
Slow Adam
I am running FF 3.5.7 with no problem.
Danielle
I have FF 3.6 on XP and haven't seen this. Maybe toggle from the Rich Text to Standard Editor (My Controls --> Options/Board Settings) and see what happens? Any particular extensions you have added or have updated recently? Peel Paint
I only have two extensions on all three machines (Java Console, and Xmarks, an offsite bookmark storage and coordination extension--edit a bookmark on one machine or browser, it updates them all) and both extensions have been updated lately, but temporarily disabling them does not fix this. However, toggling my DCP account to Standard Editor instead of Rich Text editor does fix this, and that's a workaround I can live with. Thanks, Danielle.
