MiniSopGuy
This is going to be a huge undertaking for SoCal Dream and as such, we have partnered with the "Norco Blue Diamond Brigade" to make sure we have enough people to make the show run smoothly and be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. This is obviously a DCi show since there are not enough DCA corps out this way, but as a DCA participant, we are proud to have been considered to host a DCi show. If you find yourself in the SoCal area on July 16th, come on out and help support SoCal Dream by attending the show. For more information and tickets, please go to the Dream Invitational website Unfortunately the only "All Age" corps participating is SoCal Dream, but other corps scheduled to perform include: The Academy - Tempe, AZ Blue Devils B - Concord, CA Blue Devils C - Concord, CA Cascades - Seattle, WA Gold - Hawthorne, CA Impulse - Buena Park, CA Incognito - Orange, CA Mandarins - Sacramento, CA Oregon Crusaders - Portland, OR Pacific Crest - Diamond Bar, CA Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets - Santa Clara, CA Velvet Knights - Pasadena, CA July 16, 2010 Gates open at 4:00pm Show starts at 5:30pm Eleanor Roosevelt High School 7447 Cleveland Ave. Corona, CA 92880 You can find out more and see our special ticket pricing and package price by going to the Dream Invitational website Edited February 11, 2010 by MiniSopGuy

Nice lineup!! What about Kingsmen Sr? Are they not fielding this year?? Are you open to other groups participating in some form, or are you limited to DCI's 30 member minimum? Freelancers Alums and maybe Generations in Blue (BD alums...a hangover from the 07 alum corps) might like a place to perform....perhaps in the souvie area during intermission? Night show for Dream, perhaps??? Edited February 10, 2010 by 84BDsop
MiniSopGuy
Not sure about what time we will go on, but being a Friday it won't be earlier than 5:30. I seem to remember a thread on here about Kingsmen Sr. not fielding this year. Maybe check their website? As for any other groups, that is all up to Mike Nash. Shoot him an email: director@socaldream.org

Bass1
Someone should definately invite Freelancers to come out and any other Alum Corps in the area. Isn't this show considered an Open Class Championship by DCI this year?

84BDsop
Don't get TOO cocky....if you put BDC after Dream, you guys are DOOMED!! I'll contact my BD friends (I'll presume someone at Dream will tell Tony Sawyer and he can see if Freelancers Alums are interested), but it DOES bring up a point... This is a DCI show being run by a DCA corps....does the 30 member minimum rule still apply? Could Generations in Blue be allowed to play on the field -- even in a standstill exhibition -- with less than that, or would Tom H shut that down? If so, there could still be the souvie-area-during-intermission angle....perhaps one group during intermission and another during score tabulation...maybe a joint performance for the encore.... darkman
Right now it's up to the show promoter in the show as exhibition... And we may already have one group, plus a couple of corps not list still have to pass their evaluation. This is a DCI Show that a DCA / DCI-P Corps is hosting... In order for it to be a sanction DCA show, we need 3 DCA Corps to be in the show. The 30 member rule does apply... The line-up includes: 4 World Class, 9-11 Open Class, 1- All-Age Corps[Dream], plus one possible exhibition that needs confirming... This is going to be one packed show... 250 Premium Seating, 1250 General Seating... go to http://www.socaldream.org tickets & information Don't get TOO cocky....if you put BDC after Dream, you guys are DOOMED!!I'll contact my BD friends (I'll presume someone at Dream will tell Tony Sawyer and he can see if Freelancers Alums are interested), but it DOES bring up a point... How about the souvie area performance angle...or outside before the gates open? Would the rule apply to that??
