GMichael1230
BD's issue is that there's no room to really go up. All they can do right now is max out and if they are weak in any area Finals night they'll get dinged, especially since both Bluecoats and Phantom have legitimate claims for the Drums trophy. This makes no sense..so you are saying that once they achieve their best score possible, they are gonna shrivel up and die ??? Umm...ok. wilme861
They have a decent chance of sweeping them all. The most challenging ones to hold onto will be Percussion and Music Ensemble, possibly Visual performance as well.
vferrera
How about all caps and subcaps all three nights. Plus all I&E. Plus Spirit of Disney. Plus the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Plus the Indiana Mega Millions Lottery. Plus a Nobel Prize. Aim High :)
oldbandguy
Plus a Nobel Prize. That's easier to get than high drums!

Pinwiz
This makes no sense..so you are saying that once they achieve their best score possible, they are gonna shrivel up and die ??? Umm...ok.G BD will not get 10.0 in every subcaption. Cavaliers and Bluecoats (and possibly Phantom's drums) will likely score some 9.9s, and it's not a guarantee that BD will execute/design well enough in every single subcaption on Finals night to deserve a 10.0. Therefore, they will get at least one subcaption lower than another corps. If they were that good, they would have swept every subcaption in Atlanta. It's not like BD will suddenly be given a 10.5 in a subcaption. There is a maximum score, and the nature of the competition gives others the ability to snipe a caption. WestCoaster
BD will not get 10.0 in every subcaption. Of course they won't score all 10's, but that wasn't the question. Are you saying that the competition is much better than in 2005? That seems to be your argument here. Therefore, they will get at least one subcaption lower than another corps. If they were that good, they would have swept every subcaption in Atlanta. You seem to be leaving out the fact that there are still 2 more weeks to go...plenty of time to shore up all sections if you're BD, while at the same time their competition will likely need to somewhat neglect their strongest sections in order to address their weaknesses in an effort to somehow pass BD. Seems to me that it's more likely some strong sections will drop slightly and not at all a given that Cavies or Bluecoats will "likely" score too many 9.9's as you are guessing (possible, but not as likely imo as you seem to think...Phantom, on the other hand, might just chose to max out their drum score as much as possible since they're so far behind and that would be a good way to move up a spot or two...so I'd say that's the biggest obstacle for BD right now as far as winning all captions is concerned). It's not like BD will suddenly be given a 10.5 in a subcaption. There is a maximum score, and the nature of the competition gives others the ability to snipe a caption. Sure, but again Cadets managed to pull it off in 05. Has the nature of the competition changed since then. In fairness, I was out of the loop in 05 so it's entirely possible that the competition was a good deal weaker which allowed for the sweep to happen, is that the case? flyingkadet
It's a far better show than the 05 Cadets so it's possible. I believe 05 Cadets way better, but that's just my opinion. BD always do what they do very well. We'll see what happens finals week.
