HIGH GUARD--THE TORCHMEN HIGH BRASS--THE TORCHMEN HIGH DRUMS--OOSTBURG BARNSTORMERS HIGH MARCHING--OOSTBURG BARNSTORMERS HIGH MUSIC--THE TORCHMEN HIGH GE--TRIGLAV IN 7TH PLACE WITH A SCORE OF 75.0 THE DUNKIRK PATRIOTS IN 6TH PLACE WITH A SCORE OF 80.3 GLORIOUS MARCHING BRIGADE IN 5TH PLACE WITH A SCORE 85.7 IMPERIAL MARCHING BRIGADE IN 4TH PLACE WITH A SCORE 87.2 TRIGLAV TAKING BRONZE--WHICH IS ACTUALLY A TIE FOR SILVER WITH A SCORE OF 88.45.....OOSTBURG BARNSTORMERS AND THE TORCHMEN! AND TAKING THE GOLD AND CLASS ACT CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A SCORE OF 89.1 MINNESOTA MADNESS SENIOR!!!! we knew there was darkhorse potential and MMS pulled it off tonight! Its like they were waiting for the moment to pounce! With OOSTBURG and TORCHMEN tearing each other up, it left MMS the chance to take it all without winning a single caption!!!! CONGRATS!!! Cheers to all seven competitors with a bonus woot! to MMS! It seems the Barnstormers snuck off with our Chief Oshkosh Travelling Kegger & BBQ Trailer... it's more'n likely set up nearby. Congrats to MMS, everyone loves a dark horse. They've medaled twice in two seasons of existence (not consecutive, there was some down time), which is two more times than any other SFMO corps (for now ). What a weekend it was for DCA (real) and CLASS ACT Finals!! Taking home the gold was the goal for the season but we as a corps did not feel too good after placing 3rd in prelims and not winning a single caption!! This is the first Championship for the Minnesota Marching Music Organization. We hope the younger corps can feed off momentum of the all-age corps and come into next season with lofty goals and ambitions. Back to CLASS ACT though. It was one hell of a performance the corps put on finals night that left the crowd in aww! The beauty and pagentry of the guard, the powerful, dark, lush sound of the hornline, and the passion, precission and cleanliniess of the drumline was just amazing. Thank you CLASS for putting on a great season, as bumpy as it was!! Here is to next season and trying to defend our title. We are no longer the hunter, we are the hunted!!!!
