ImperialSound_Director Posted November 3, 2010 Share Posted November 3, 2010 http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/195108...and-bugle-corps Planning for the corps' first rehearsal, this November, has taken three years of research and community outreach, as well as hands-on work and volunteer experience with other drum corps. Currently, the corps is asking members to bring their own horns, drums, and guard equipment (or ask their local band director). While this may work for the first couple camp dates and rehearsals in our schedule, we would be unable to accommodate those from lower income areas who may not have prior experience playing an instrument or using equipment. Our main goal is to give those kids, aged 12-21, who may not have a band or music program in their local schools, a chance to get an even better education through our independent programs. So far, we have pulled together a staff of some names that have people talking. Our rehearsal spaces are booked past January for full camps. We're ready. Please back us on KickStarter by donating a $1. Just a $1 bumps us up the listing so we can be viewed by other philanthropists in the area. Thank you in advance.
