The first Texas Drum Corps Preview took place at the Arneson River Theater in San Antonio in June 2005, moving to Austin and the steps of the State Capitol in 2006, where it has been held ever since.

That first year was actually a 2fer - we played on the grounds of The Alamo 1st, then moved over to the River Walk Theater.

Granted, the narrow, walled courtyard we were in was bad enough acoustically that we typically say "Don't remember The Alamo" when referring to that performance...

A quick taste of things to come..

It appears that ALL the Texas Drum Corps will be there this year! I am still waiting for final confirmation from one group, but they gave a "yes" answer at the beginning of the year.

What are these groups? Well, check out our website to find out ;-) :thumbup::devil:

Hi all,

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, a number of groups will not be attending the TX Drum Corps Preview this year.

I have updated the initial post to reflect this. If things change, I will definitely let everyone know!

As of today (5/24/11), the following groups will be attending the 2011 TX Drum Corps Preview:

* Gulf Coast Sound

* Genesis

* Forte

* Revolution

* Crossmen

Thank you!

We will be updating the website soon to reflect this change and to update starting/ending times for the production.
