nukeme70
The first Texas Drum Corps Preview took place at the Arneson River Theater in San Antonio in June 2005, moving to Austin and the steps of the State Capitol in 2006, where it has been held ever since. That first year was actually a 2fer - we played on the grounds of The Alamo 1st, then moved over to the River Walk Theater. Granted, the narrow, walled courtyard we were in was bad enough acoustically that we typically say "Don't remember The Alamo" when referring to that performance... MikeN
I actually really enjoyed the Alamo performance. It's the first (and last) time I ever got to watch a drum corps standstill from right *behind* the battery, packed in like sardines.
