nukeme70
http://lpmusic.com/Product_Showcase/Chimes_Cymbals/lp_pin_chime_set.html A few of those (or something similar) are mounted under the keyboards. They are moving them back and forth with a finger. There's probably a nuance present that this brass player can't appreciate, but those sound like something much cheaper that my daughter's band used last year...The Garden Weasel! N.E. Brigand
OK, then I guess the difference in sound probably can be ascribed to one set of pin chimes heard close up vs. several sets overlapping and at a distance. Like hearing a few spring peepers nearby vs. a whole chorus of them from hundreds of yards away. Thanks!
