gcurrier Posted June 24, 2011 Share Posted June 24, 2011 Having finished 4th at finals last year and ties in Visual Performance, Brass, Percussion and a solitary win in music ensemble, The Knights from Portland Maine were bestowed a great honor. As the highest "Knight" corps, they won the Knight Sword! This is always a great honor for the corps and one they seek every season at every show! So far the Knights have been challenged in Salem and Chesapeake VA and last night in Myrtle Beach SC in their new home state! However, so far the Knights have not only gotten silver at every show, and moved to third in the overall rankings, they also have held tight to the Knight Sword!!!! Swept the Spartanburg show in all 3 groups First Corps to score 82 this season In the top 4 in all three classes in overall scores and get the Knights sword for our return home to NC. With the tough competition we are hoping to keep it through regionals. OH first the FANFARE championships and now the Knight Sword!!! kdgrush Posted July 11, 2011 Share Posted July 11, 2011 After a one day break, the Knights of Power took back the Sword in style... by winning the South Region at their unofficial home show! It's now time for the 1st midseason re-writes, but the Sword will be up for grabs again later in the week in Ohio. Our thanks to the Knights for taking care of it for 1 day!
