BoomerSooner
I am planning on auditioning for the Madison Scouts on trumpet for next summer and am wondering if anyone has some good advice on what I should be practicing to prepare myself for the audition. I already practice every day, making sure to complete a full warm-up and also warm-down when I finish. I have been using a lot of stuff from the Arban's book, along with some double and triple-tonging sheets. Along with that I try to go to the peak of my range every day in an effort to expand as much as I can. Is there anything in particular that anyone thinks I should work on to best prepare myself for the audition?

Vanguard07
Run, everyday. Also, don't cut yourself - walk in with a positive attitude and work your ### off that weekend.

Haha I'm not too worried about the physical aspect of drum corps, because I already have to work out a ton because I play NCAA college baseball. But thanks for the input. I looking more for the technical aspect of trumpet playing and what to work on in that area.
The Rob
I wouldn't recommend peaking your range everyday. Try peaking every couple of days, you'll get much better results.
