knightsbari
well ALL the instruments I have ( including non brass ) in my house are Bb trumpet Trombone Convertible Yamaha Tuba ( corps' horn ) Violin Viola Cello Flute Bassoon Piano Organ and soon an Oboe see I dont discriminate on basis of family I own and play a little bit from each My goal though is to eventually own 1 of every instrument in the orchestra ... thats gonna take a while though .. especially for the big pups like tuba, double bass, harpsichord, grand marimba, and timps

BariSaege
I bought a "never marched on a field" Euph from a parade corps switching to Bb in 1999. I payed 120 US$ incl. Case. It's a 3 valve DEG Wilson Euphonium made in Switzerland. Heavy as ####, but sound like an angel. It's just difficult to get mouthpieces, due to the European shank. Play a 51C4 and a 51D Schilke mouthpiece.
MoKeefus
For the folks that own both a Kanstul and a Dynasty soprano: Is there one soprano you prefer over the other? I am considering saving my pennies to buy a Kanstul power bore soprano. I currently own a Dynasty that is in very good condition. In your opinion is there enough of a difference to justify the purchase of a new horn? (Keep in mind, my wife doesn't understand why anyone would need more than one horn and one mouthpiece.) ravedodger
Tell her that you need a spare just in case the Dynasty goes flat. That should work.
