alexblais
Anyone hear about SCV switching to dynasty drums? Anyone know how long the contract lasts? SCV has always played Pearl drums, probably switched due to Rennicks contracts with dynasty. I personally don't think they will sound good on dynasty, nor am I a fan of dynasty. Rennicks writing is really aggressive.
Jeffe77
Not a big Dynasty fan, but based on how good Phantom Regiment sounded with P Rennick, I think SCV will sound fine.

Rennicks writing is really aggressive. Individual contracts have no bearing on ensemble contracts. SCV did not have to switch simply because Paul was a Dynasty artist. That being said, Dynasty has developed a new snare drum with tons of input from Paul. Its a free floater, and is supposedly pretty amazing. SCV will sound fine on Dynasty. They won't sound the same as they did before Paul, but that has more to do with Paul's writing and tuning style than it does the drums. Paul managed to get great sounds out of Dynasty drums at Phantom. He'll do the same for SCV.
