Here are bearWY's thought on the Casper show. Take it for what it's worth.

Cascades - Some smart ideas in the show. Kids are working hard. The show just lack entertainment.

Boston - Very well designed show. First half stronger than second. Great use of color. Tons of talent. Really liked this show.

Santa Clara - WOW! Very seldom does SCV fail to impress. Love the guard. Drum line kicked donkeys. Wall of sound. Cymbals were fun to watch.

Phantom - Was Phantom. Very hard to follow story line. I didn't understand uniform change for guard (traditional oriental to Michelle Kwan skater dress). Meh

Troopers - I love 20th century music. Not many do but I enjoy it. Herein lies the problem. There is no place to cheer for the corps within the funky musical transitions. Loved the idea for the show and I think it translates ok. Most talented guard Troop has had in a while. Didn't understand the wierd globe prop. What was that thing? Gold guard uni with a bunch of gold flags. More color please. Note to Troopers... The crowd wants to love you. Give them a reason to cheer and throw babys on the field.

Theme shows are great but I shouldn't need a staff member explaining what the show is about.

These are my opinions. I had a great time and look forward to more drum corps in the future.

Bear - thank you for the warm welcome at your shop last Friday. Thank you even more for stopping by the alumni tent. That meant a LOT, and you know why.

Here is a short video of the crowd in Casper. It was a PACKED house. The pre-show V.I.P. event backfield was excellent, the alumni tent and its contents was a great reminder of the long heritage of this corps, and the crowd was excited about EVERY corps there that night. Thank you, Casper!
