Thanks so much for posting photo. Terrific! Cadets are looking good. Read that they had a long day of rehearsal in high temps. Hoping they do well tonight.

Photo must have been taken during a weekend Winter camp since no one has a tan and only a few seem under 22! Cadets2?

Couple thoughts...

Great venue. Wish a few more folks would've shown up. Hopkins posted a photo during scores - it was sparse, and I'm a guilty party. #### the interwebs and the availability of scores when I got home.

I have to start with some negativity, and I'm going to devote a post to this tomorrow... Revolution (and other small corps) should program something that the audience can get behind and recognize. Philip Glass isn't the way to go, in my opinion. Plus, I think it'll help them create a fanbase.

May have been the first time I ever saw Oregon Crusaders - just delightful. Would this corps sniff semis in world class? Interesting to see the contrast of Revolution and OC. Obviously talent and design are not comparable, but the crowd went nuts after OC. But OC gave the crowd something it could follow - some Gershwin, some Copland. Tied together in a heady way, but the audience was engaged. Smaller corps (smaller numbers, younger members) have to do this. Also, the integration of App Spring and Kingfisher's Catch Fire: brilliant!

This is surely the best Pacific Crest show/corps they've fielded. 2012: The Year of Color Shows. They sounded great. The guy behind me thought Blue Sapphire was West Side Story - I guess I can see it? :)

I appreciate that Pioneer gets after every year. Always a young group - I believe they had a fetus in the bassline.

If (i) my wife agreed, and (ii) Oklahoma allowed not only polygamy but also marriage to a drum corps show, I'd consider sharing nuptials with 2012 Academy. They've been my favorite non-finalist for the last few years, and I really love what they've done with Rite of Spring.

I long for the days of 1997-2006 Glassmen. I love Mishima, and I love the Organ Symphony, but there is really nothing of note about this show (and this is sadly similar to several of their past offerings).

Cadets and PR may jockey for third for the next week or so, but I'm guessing Cadets will pull away. They've added more since I saw them a week ago: new designs on the slides (including a steeple), new designs on the screens up front, new audio clips (making the Swingle Bells a more obvious "commercial" meaning to Christmas), among some dynamics changes in the brass. It's a good show, and I believe it breaks the "even year hex" for these guys.
