woogie53
The Tampa Bay Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce that they will be competing in DCA A Class competition for the 2013 season. The corps is currently almost full and the production schedule is far ahead of 2011 at this point and time. We are just 10 days away from heading out of town for a 4 day camp to complete the 2013 program over Memorial Day weekend. The administration made the decision to declare A Class status for the best interest of the organization and membership, putting an end to membership that cannot fulfill their time & financial commitment to the drum corps schedule obligations. “I see this as a good responsible decision for the Thunder now and for the future. Students these days take part in so many activities and it seems that drum corps always is expected to let them slide on tuition and rehearsals, this will not be tolerated here”, states James Newman, President. “We have a great program and a talented group of 65 performing, responsible members that should make this year’s DCA World Championships very interesting.” The 2013 Tampa Bay Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps will be fielding 30 brass, 12 guard, 23 percussion. This year’s program “Seasonal Celebrations” will be one you want to see!
