CrunchyTenor
Thought I'd put this out there to see if any Open Class fans in NorCal might be able to give us on-site updates. There is no discussion thread on the World Class page since there is only one WC corps in competition. Here's the lineup, in reverse order of competition: SoCal Dream - Huntington Beach, CA Mandarins - Sacramento, CA Blue Devils B - Concord, CA Vanguard Cadets - Santa Clara, CA City Sound - Long Beach, CA Impulse - Buena Park, CA Blue Devils C - Concord, CA Read more: http://www.dci.org/schedule/#ixzz2YOsreLJF Impulse just returned to California after a brief tour to the Boise and Ogden shows. BDB and SCVC are duking it out for California supremacy, as usual. City Sound is showing improvement as they continue to grow as a corps. And BDC continues to train for the future while competing at their highest level to date. There are two more shows in Southern California next weekend as Gold will mix it up with BDB and SCVC, and Pacific Crest will join the WC lineup, then it's off to San Antonio for the WC corps and BDB and SCVC join the tour in Michigan and Oklahoma respectively. N.E. Brigand
And ... nothing. Thanks for starting it, anyway!
PRoud mom
Wasn't able to give an onsite update. It was a great evening of drum corps! BDC was entertaining as usual with their Route 66 routine. They also did the encore which was a special treat! City Sound continued their latin themed show, and SoCal Dream was entertaining with music from Queen. Impulse was sharp and sounded great! Also an entertaining-crowd pleasing group. SCVC has an impressive guard and their new uniforms are stunning. Their sound was awesome and they will give BDB a run for their money all season. BDB's show is fun to watch and includes many props this season. Their show is intricate and was executed well last night. Mandarins has new uniforms and their show is awesome this year! Overall a good evening with great shows! Good luck to all as they continue on their summer tours!
