hardcoremello
Fusion Core finished strong taking 7th place in it's 7th year and only 2nd year in Open Class. What started out as a dream has grown into a respectful competitive organization within the DCA Association. Fusion is particularly excited about the success within the guard and percussion captions which finished stronger than any of our previous years and we are thrilled to announce that the Caption Heads and Designer/writers for both captions will be returning for the 2014 season. The guard in particular had a rocky start to the 2013 season but when Rob Watson came in that all changed. They grew not only as a team but as individuals. Now that ALL the elements are in place we are ready to take the next steps towards our next goal................... Please enjoy some hilites of our season...........till we meet again!! Fran Haring
Great stuff, Holly!!! You're right... the "Core" color guard came so far in such a short period of time this season.

N.E. Brigand
Not directed at Fusion particularly, but... Why do drum corps highlight videos so seldom use actual drum corps for the audio?
N.E. Brigand
(Other than that, it is quite a nice promotional video.)
posaun1
Not directed at Fusion particularly, but... Why do drum corps highlight videos so seldom use actual drum corps for the audio? Without getting into too many details my guess would be that the quality of sound from a recording, unless staged and mic'ed properly is not an accurate representation of what the corps actually sounds like. We all know the loss of quality that happens going from live to recording and I would venture a guess that most corps only want the best quality sound going out and representing them. N.E. Brigand
I guess that makes sense, but it does seem like advertising an orchestra by playing rock music, or vice versa. (Come see Bruno Mars! He sounds just like this passage from Tchaikovsky!) Surely the track on this Fusion video is even less representative of their sound than an imperfect recording of their own performance would be. Edited September 11, 2013 by N.E.
