This is the show you DO NOT want to miss. The response has been awesome and the facility is fantastic. Come and enjoy an afternoon of drum corps .... just like the old days, with individual competitions / duets / ensembles and full corps performances, This followed by of course an OLD FASHION DRUM CORPS PARTY !!

No Classic this year ... the only full show of Spring in the WNY area with the addition of over 40 individual competitors,

Bugler’s Hall of Fame Concert

North Tonawanda, N.Y. The music will take center stage for “An Afternoon of Drum Corps Music” on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Sikora Post, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda, NY. The individuals and ensembles start at 1:00 pm and the show continues with mini corps and alumni corps for an all-day affair. The show is co-sponsored by the Bugler’s Hall of Fame and the Ghost Riders Drum Corps.

“The excitement of Drum Corps” is returning to N. Tonawanda after 40 years according to John Hathaway, the past director of the Royal Coachmen Drum Corps from N. Tonawanda. “This is a first to have many corps performing inside this early in the year”

The drum corps performing include: Ghost Riders, The Niagara Militaries, Hamburg Kingsmen, Preston Scout House of Canada, Tri Valley Brass, Cadre Blue, Cadre Red, Saint Josephs Brass Ensemble of Batavia NY, The Hitmen and Mighty St Joes Alumni Corps of Leroy, NY. But this unique show will also feature individual soloists, duets, trios, quartets, mixed ensembles, brass ensembles and mini corps.

The "Ghost Riders Drum & Bugle Corps" based in Batavia NY, which is sponsoring the show, took home the coveted "1st place World Title" in the "Mini Corps" competition at the "Drum Corps Associates World Championship's" this past Labor Day weekend in Annapolis Maryland.

As Director and Founder of "Ghost Riders Drum & Bugle Corps, Doug Mellenthine stated “I could not be happier. Not only to win this title, but to observe the friendships and camaraderie these fine groups of individuals have developed throughout the years. As We Always Say “GO GHOST”!!!

“I’m very excited about this day,” John Hathaway said. “The music is great and we’re thrilled to bring drum corps back to N. Tonawanda. The day will be like a reunion of former members from the drum corps world.

“I think the community will rally enjoy the day by hearing great music being performed by great groups”, Donny Allen, music arranger for Ghost Riders, and Buglers Hall of Fame member explained. “This show will bring generations together to perform and fellowship in true drum corps style.”

“An Afternoon of Drum Corps Music” will also feature performances by current members who were included into the Bugler’s Hall of Fame plus the opportunity to meet the new inductees going into the Bugler’s Hall of Fame. Tickets for the show are $10 at the door. There will be food and refreshments served all day. The doors open at 12:00 pm.
