The song modulates up a key, kicks the tempo up, and the corps builds into a big finish!

Skyliners will start the DCA portion of the show. They are in red Sky t-shirts and black shorts tonight, except for the honor guard, because Sky would NEVER.

The lone tenor player is playing a djembe while standing on the 50. The snares, each playing various hand drum instruments, join hint. A trio of brass players play a haunting melody as the rest of the corps plays backfield. Build up to the corps turning front and it’s Samson and Delilah they’re playing.

Guard DOES have uniforms. It’s just the horns and percussion that don’t yet.

Single marching bass drummer, playing on a double bass rig.

Second movement opens with another brass trio on the side 2 45. Horns playing backfield again during this section of the show.

Trios of trumpet join the original trio before the whole horn line faces front and adds on.

Third movement is the theme from October Sky, the movie about NASA engineer Homer Hickam. Boston Crusaders played this in 2008. Saber soloist nails her toss at the climax of the ballad.

Only 20ish horns, but they’re putting out a strong sound, both facing us and back field.

The performance ended with the ballad, so I’m guessing there’s some show left to put on the field.

Columbus Saints now entering the field in their new uniforms. Drum majors still waiting for theirs as they’re in t-shirt or polo. Guard is in lovely wine colored dresses.
