ukcjs
I was wondering what type of piece would be good for a couple-of-minutes-long solo on baritone, to give a good idea of what you can do on the instrument. Also, should audition pieces be memorized, or is it normal to have the music there with you?

bandette bari2
I don't know about a song but it might be good to memorize them either way.
ban_D_bags
play whatever moves ur soul..... i dunno. try something that you like listening to and something that you actaully want to play. something you know you can put alot of energy into. that energy always comes in handy when auditioning
BennyASU
When i was at RCC i asked Wayne Downey to suggest some audition pieces for baritone. He told me to get ahold of the Arban's trumpet book for some good options. Of course, i had never thought about using a trumpet book, but hey...its Wayne Downey...just do what he says! :P
