It's a silver Getzen 700 (Eterna II) trumpet. It is 2 years and 1 month old. Well taken care of. 2 very slight dings (I'll have to get my hands on a digi cam. for pics) 1 is halfway between the engraving and valves and the other is so slight you have to look for it right before the first valve on the "bell pipe". I have a valve guard on the valves so there is less wear on it. The horn has been regularly cleaned and shined. The valves work wonderfully. I had it taken in and looked at as if I was going to trade it in for a strad (they don't have xeno's around Iowa). They offered me $350 for it, and told me that they would sell it again for $500. With the horn I will also willing to include these items for free. a 7C king mouthpiece and a Schilke 14a4a. I only played the schilke a couple times so it is still in excellent condition. And I am also willing to throw in a soft double trumpet case. It is a ritter pyramid case. Doubles as a slightly bulky backpack or dufflebag type case. Works well and protects the horns well. Only used it for a few band competitions so no rough wear on it. has side pockets for music and a massive pocket on the front to hold everything you need plus a mute bag (easily carries harmon, straight, cup, and plunger mutes). that will fit in the front pocket. camel lips Posted September 21, 2004 Share Posted September 21, 2004 (edited) Mello, If I were you I would jump on the $350 that guy offered you.I routinely see Eterna 900's selling for $400-$500 on ebay.700's only go for $250-$325.Based on the condition you describe your horn,should you place it on EBay I would be surprised if you got more than $250 for it.You could also look into getting Dillon's to sell it for you.They have a great consignment program. FWIW I think the Eterna 700 are fantastic instruments for the money.They sell new for $650 at Washington music. I would take a real hard look at the New Conn vintage one.Its a heck of a lot of horn.You can pick those up used on EBay for $800 and up.New ones go for around $1200 Good luck.
