The Cadets, looking markedly younger, pose on the church steps with a flag marking the number of men from Garfield, NJ (70) who served the United States during World War II. 84Cadet Posted April 8, 2005 Share Posted April 8, 2005 In 1958 the Corps broke ties with the Holy Name parish and became the Garfield Cadets. The Church wouldn't allow the Corps to wear their own uniforms or use their equipment. So, the Corps got a new look for a while. These drums were lent by The Cavaliers.
