St_Marys64
SPEAKING OF SNARES AND TENORS BC 1968 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yes, 1968 Boston’s rebuilding year? the all new Snare, Tenor, and Bass Line? The year St. Mary’s would finally beat them in Drums. NEVER HAPPENED ! Gerry S. recently said. this was his finest line, he had all the drummers young enough to develop the “Proper Technique” We had no idea they were practicing three to four times a week from Sept. But we would soon find out, Like a Machine, so Demanding and Musical. Do I remember 1968, unfortunately Oh yes. RobH
I didn't know that the 68 BC drumline was in a rebuilding mode - one of my all-time fave BC drumlines was 67 - anyone know how many rookies were in the 68 line?

The Tenor Line was from the feeder Corps. Gerry Had been teaching all the drummers in the feeder corps and the BC Tenor’s were taught with traditional grip, which made for a smooth transition from tenor to snare
