  1. Thanks, N.E. Brigand.... So, it's been four years since BS beat BAC
  2. BD = 8 TO 5???? what are you smoking So, all the visual judges got it wrong? SURE GO BD
  3. BAC 1969, The Dave Brubeck piece was un-square dance in 7/8 Boston also played a jazz version of "Pop goes the weasel" They had to learn two version of each solo with and without the bells. At the VFW they would have been disqualified, at other shows they just took the penalty
  4. I did like it moving as well 1: The BD stickman animated or not it’s design that tells the program story in a fun, yet very sophisticated way through equipment placement and then through form development., 2: The Cavies Asia influenced motifs, again design that reflects the music
  5. I will see it in Allentown, it sure looks great on the Fan Network
  6. Yes, I believe Boston has beaten everyone except, BD However, BD was not a factor in the pre-dci days
  7. I agree, but was shocked to see crown beat the cavies in GE Visual Cavies were 4th from both GE Visual judges?
  8. The Blessed Sacrament, Golden Knights So, smoooooooooth loved the exit "Free again"
  9. I also enjoy Phantom's musical program, the pacing seems to drag a bit, just prior to building the sword, btw, what's with the round point on the sword? The GE visual is looking like 5th maybe 4TH but, clearly not in the league of the Cadets, Cavies and BD! Last night I think, BD beat PR by 1.1 in GE visual and 1.0 in Color Guard. I hear BD is still adding to their program as well. Will be interesting to watch or listen to, how far PR music can take them? Crown, great sound, clean & crisp looking but could be 6th in GE visual, just count the number of blocks in Crown's opener? Don't feel the depth, range and variety of the visual programs is top 5 yet. Could we have a corps take top music/brass and end-up in 5th?
  10. "design expert" You just play one on DCP Sorry, it's just a joke
  11. "Bad move"? Not really, I’m sure the “House cleaning” started with all those easels. With Jay Kennedy as program coordinator and Brian Murphy writing and coordinating the visual program, 08 is looking and sounding like a new and exciting, programming approach for Boston.
  12. Key did the Cab’s last year nothing bland or “pretty bland” about that show, most thought it was the most exciting and Fan Friendly in DCA. With Lee and Key, Sky will be…….anything but, bland!
  13. Looks like the visual actually was their strength according to the recap
  14. Best "small" corps I ever saw! Later, Mike Oh, YES Pound for Pound, no small corps has matched BAC'S accomplishments. In 1983, with only 18 brass and less then 50 members, they made DCI DIV. 1. In 1979 they had 25ish in the brass Line and were amazing. In 1985 BAC only used the electronics at DCI Semi-Finals, took the penalty and it sounded great. Talk about Ba!!s, they didn't even drop one spot from Quarter- Finals to Semi - Finals, with a two penalty
  15. GREAT PICKS In 1967, Boston did beat the cavies two nights later after their lost at Fenway Park at the CYO Nationals by almost four points and a week later at the North American Championship as well as The Shriner International Championship. Boston beat the cavies rather convincingly four out five times by almost four points each time and would have won the A.L. Nationals if the cavies penalty was not dropped
  16. Yes, " THE YEAR OF THE BELLS" 1969 WAS GREAT Also, 1977 Boston took top visual GE at the A.L. National by almost two points and tied for second in visual demand & technique at the DCI Pre.
  17. Starting the drill next month AMAZING I heard the Cabs are using 64 brass and a very large DL and only have a few brass spots available? It’s sounding like a great 60th season Where are you having drill in March Outside?or inside
