Galen Posted March 8, 2005 Share Posted March 8, 2005 (edited) Title of Proposal: "Broken" captions: Description: The executive director shall have the authority to determine which captions are "broken" or do too much for the value they have, and adjust those values as he/she sees fit. Rationale: There are some caption choices that, due to their excellent value, have been overused by corps directors and have led to redundant scores in several captions, as witnessed by the Finals caption breakdowns over the last 3 seasons. Giving the ED the authority to adjust captions to a more realistic level would introduce a new level of competition by making managers consider more carefully their captions, and conceivably lead to a more diverse range of caption choices.
