madalumni
OK first of all, 83 Garfield has always been one of my favorite shows of all time, especially the ballad right before the reprise of RPH. In fact I'm listening to it right now. I've never noticed this before, but right as the last note is fading, you can hear what is probably a staff guy laughing softly, probably because of how pleased he is with the product. Has anyone else heard that before and have any idea of who it was...was it George Zingalli? I've heard he was legendary for expressing his emotions openly during shows. Anyway, I wish this show would have made the 12 best, not only because of it's pure excellance, but because it truly was the show that changed the activity. Seems like the microphones were set up too close to the field to pick up a soft laugh from the staff-who weren't that close to the field as they actually would have been back closer to the first row of seats of the stadium. Fudge
Maybe it was Donnie Van Doren. You can certainly hear and see him in the finals performance of 1982. He communicated with the hornline that whole show. Just look for him at the bottom of the screen behind the DM in the first row of stands! A Huge Nerd
I would agree. It was probably Donnie.
