  1. My favorite moment...? To quote Charlie Sheen, "Duh, Winning!" ;)
  2. Donnie, Amen, and Amen! Amber, Your range of emotions are shared by many of us. Thank you so much for caring for all of the Star Alumni Corps members through this arduous process. It was an honor to stand with all of you, and an honor to be taught and encouraged by some of the best minds in the history of the activity.
  3. I'm pleasantly surprised that the Star of Indiana jokes are not in full swing on this thread, aside from a few hints. Drum corps staff are paid, as they should be. Drum corps members benefit beyond any amount of money. The activity is about learning, growth, achievement and teamwork... not profit.
  4. I was there when my beloved corps was still on the field. <sigh>
  5. I loved everything about 88 BD. The sound was amazing! Still one of my favorite shows of all time.
  6. I am really looking forward to this. The reunion back in 2004 was great, but to have the chance to put a retrospective on the field is very exciting. Now, all I have to do is get in shape!
  7. Not with the exact same drum and horn books. Not that those books weren't great, things are just different now... it's a different sound. Not better, just different.
  8. I turned 21 on July 9th of 1992, and that was also my age out year.
  9. We used air contol to acheive softness or loudness. Control of air was the basis of the horn program, and it worked. Rarely did you see a Star hornline turn backfield. We didn't need to. I don't post this out of conceit... it's just a fact.
