  1. My favorite moment was spending time on the field one last time with Star of Indiana, aging out with an entire corps at the same time.
  2. What gives? Why the thumbs down? I had JUST found out about the move/ change and was shocked by the decision... Did I say anything that was negative or demeaning at ALL? I care deeply about this corps since I worked there a few years back. There are Corps that do have a City's name in it's title, but they practice during the winter in a different state, you know. Whatever the case, I support Mempho's decision to try and keep the corps going and make a move if needed. I found it strange that after the '07 season, Andre wanted the corps to move to Nashville for the better of the corps and was refused. Now they are hauling it all to Texas where there are a few other corps already. If you are going to jump to conclusions and assume that I was saying something offensive. The least you could do is make yourself known to DCP readers and stop hiding behind your facade. Don't be a coward "Mark time".
  3. Holy ####... this just made me laugh my ### off BANG
  4. Are finals being shown on the DCI fan network? Anyone?
  5. Yeah Tom... a real hoot you are... you're always so "positive" on here... Thank you, you have a very nice opinion. To the original poster. Pretty cool fantasy...not a snowballs chance in hell of it coming to fruition. I'd love to see that myself. Star is gone... not forgotten... it still lives on through those FMM that are now staff members of various other corps, teaching the things they were taught, making a difference in kids lives today.
  6. Now this would have just really ###### me off if it had been in effect way back when. I would have missed the chance to have marched '91 Star by 6 hours and 25 minutes. My birthday is May 31st.
  7. Jimmer was a baritone player. Donnie Vandoren tinkered around with the Mello and Soprano.
  8. I'm really not trying to highjack this thread... but I always thought that DCI should get some sort of sponsorship/ partnership with Smuckers and Peter Pan! Tons of the stuff is consumed every summer by Drum Corps folks. AIR MATTRESSES... THIS I BELIEVE!
  9. No you're not the only one... that was probably the best sounding hornline Star ever put on the field. I've even heard Mr. DVD say that was one of his best sounding hornlines. I would love to see the Star '90 show.... from the perspective of a performer...
  10. Hey Harvey... just for the record Frank Sullivan (Brass Arranger), marched Star of Indiana '91-'93 and then on to Brass Theatre and then Cadets Brass staff '97-'98 and then into Blast! Anyway.... Tom... seems to me... uhhh... maybe you didn't enjoy Blue Stars this season? That's OK...
  11. ..if you remember the michigan city, IN show this year, i was one of the several people who yelled loudly and victoriously for most of the sweet mello/hornline moments in the show. Me too Jared!
  12. Tacco... Matty P.... Good luck fellas, I know you two will serve the Scouts very well! They are very lucky to have you two gentlemen.
  13. Grab your metal detector and head for Thomas L. Brown elementary, Key. Maybe you can find some leftovers of the wheels buried behind the old corps hall. The pinks are in Asia somehwere.... I think.
  14. ROOOOAAAARRRRRR........ :sshh: You have a very nice corps!
  15. Madison '87..... that would be Dan Ritacco.... Current Blue Stars Trumpet Tech!!
  16. He he.... Hey seargent.... Is that a sword you have there or are you just happy to see me? b**bs
