Strutters '72
OC's guard scored at 14.0 in Boise! Perhaps I am a bit too excited about it...and call me an optimist...but if you take the highest scores so far in brass, guard and percussion...and put it all together in one show... Do you know what that spells? I sure don't, but a four point jump in a single show is incredible. WAY TO GO, OC GUARD! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> More statisics. I took all the best scores for each caption from their 6 shows to date. Best possible score 76.55. Not first place yet, but they're only just starting! chasgroh
Now it gets interesting! 74.150 in Rexburg, ID tonight. I charted the show scores for BDB, SCVC, Fever and the OC comparing all first, second, third....etc. shows for each. BDB and SCVC had both done 9 shows before OC had performed their first. It's conceivable that if the OC had started at the same time as the other west coast Div.II corps, the OC would have won every show by a comfortable margin (except for the first show in Woodburn). GO OC!!!!!!!!!! How about WOW! The west is alive and well with the sound of horns and drums. It's too bad that they all can't go to the finals. East Coast Jazz and the Spartans have achieved great scores in just a few shows as well. East Coast Jazz 1 06/25/05 [Malden, MA] 71.80 2 07/02/05 [Nashua, NH] 72.50 3 07/03/05 [bristol, RI] 73.50 4 07/05/05 [beverly, MA] 74.70 5 07/09/05 [springfield, MA] 78.30 6 07/10/05 [Wayne, NJ] 78.70 Spartans 1 06/25/05 [Malden, MA] 72.85 2 07/02/05 [Nashua, NH] 73.45 3 07/05/05 [beverly, MA] 74.85 4 07/06/05 [Ft. A 16 point gain over a week is a little wierd. My guess is the first score was innacurate, which offset everything else. someone always told me the scores themselves weren't that important, rather the spread from one corps to the other. Did anyone hear how the Colorade show went?
argonaut
I just got back from touring with the Crusaders. Their show keeps improving leaps and bounds. The horn line is freaking incredible. The color guard has come together and has taken the show to another level. The crowd is now standing on their feet and going nuts at the end of the show. They have been on the road, non-stop, without much time to rehearse, and have continued to improve at a ridiculous pace. Trust me, Dr Kibinsky is not screwing around. TRUST THE CIRCLE!!!!!!! IT DOES NOT LIE Edited July 19, 2005 by argonaut
