Malibu
Yep, just checked DCI.org and Peggy is listed for the HOF 2005. See here; DCI HOF 2005
victorcoly
I believe Peggy is on the list for this year......so add Charlie Poole. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Charley is already in......
dcifan2002
Does that mean you'd say no to the others? Can't imagine anyone who's been around not recognizing Robbie. Hopkins, Hannum, Thompson etc. all emerged under his guidance. As for Frank Pamper; Sie Lurie and Don Warren are in. The three of them dominated the Midwest, and therefore the activity for a decade. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no, put them all in. just not familiar with some . I did forget Robbie. Twiggs is in. MiamiSun76
I believe Peggy is on the list for this year......so add Charlie Poole. For Robbie's bio....you should add he was the founding director for Crossmen. BTW, I do like who is listed.....they ALL deserve it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Except that Pamper has fallen off again. War & Peace, Hair, diversity. He deserves it.
Michael Boo
As much as I'm honored to be mentioned, as I previously stated, Steve Vickers is a must do first in my book, and I concur with mateye about Bill Cook. But there's one other name from my generation that has been overlooked in our thread here...Tom Blair.
matye
I agree Mike. Tom Blair has brought the activity to the masses ... and beautifully. Steve Vickers ... without question ... deserves to be in the HOF. But ... I also think you should be nominated. What you have brought to the activity is immeasurable. Thank you. SpookyOldHouse
I certainly agree with that Steve Vickers should have been in years ago. Also Jack Bevins who brought us the wonderful Velvet Knights. But there is another West Coast Director that spent a lifetime bringing us some great drum corps....Parker Silva! Who brought us the earlier Capitalaires All Girls and later the great Sacramento Freelancers! Even after the corps folded he has been involved behind the scenes in the activity even after his wife passed on. I vote for Parker Silva! We should recognize the pioneers of the activity BEFORE we bring in all the people who marched in their corps! :)
Brent
I received a call from a DCI Hall of Fame Member today saying that the criteria has changed in a way that would make it more realistic for Steve to get into the Hall of Fame. Who all helped put this together last time? We can really make the same application. It is due by Feb. 15. Please email me at: mbidirector@hotmail.com thanks.
