Marty
Just talked to a member as they pushed back from the stadium. This was absolutely their finest performance all year, and regardless of the scoring, SCV has left an indelible mark on the 2005 competition. From the corps re-warming in the tunnel after the lightning threat, (hmmm, the closer SCV got to the field, the more electricity in the air!) to the pit performing solo for the crowd as they re-entered the stadium, this perfect final performance will be talked about for years. SCV - you really lit it up tonight, congratulations on an amazing year!

It would be nice if SCV could 'take advantage' of the situation (which it sounds like they did), have an amazing show (sounds likey they did), and move up a little bit (doubtful :( ) -- doug
Blue Devil Legend
Great to hear! This show will forever be in my heart. Thanks SCV :)
dmfootworks
Great job SCV!!! A terrific effort, I'm sure, but you know those positive ions in the air from the rain may have charged up the corps and the audience, too (see '93 Madison in Jackson MS). Blue Devil Legend
Well, it's kinda ironic isn't it? A season full of "turbulence" has completed the cycle with the same. Maybe it was fate that the show was delayed, the crowd seemed a little fired up, and it sounds like it worked out well for SCV. :)
ptr250
Great job SCV! Moved up a spot with a great performance! Look out for next year because SCV is going to be spitn fire!
MiamiSun76
I can't tell you how great it felt to be involved with the booster program for the 1st time in this very special year. I know you'll be back next year, and God willing, I'll be honored to be there with you.

I really love this show, design flaws and all. The kids really laid it all on the line tonight, the crowd appreciated it, and the judges rewarded them for it (appropriately too). Thanks SCV! tyandbradsdad
SCV really stepped it up tonight. Great energy was projected. I sat in the 5th row on the left 40 yard line and you could sense the confidence, feel the energy, and see the kids' intensity exuding throughout their show--they were out to overtake those corps within reach. And they did! They never quit, stayed within themselves and let their performances do the talking. You just knew after Friday's results that Boston was ripe for the taking (and I'm a BAC alum.) The crowd was pulling for SCV and they got their largest applause of the weekend tonight--our recognition of their hard work and exemplary effort. The mallet exercises prior to their performance were relatively simple, but very nice to listen to. Vic Firth was sitting right in front of the pit taking it in. The organization, its fans, and alums should be proud of tonight's achievement and use it as a motivator for next year. Tim
