Spoof1974
From another Topic (DCI POLITICS/SCV) Now the question remains, which corps will drop their fan friendly shows from this year and go with the weird in music and theme in order to move up in placement. I'd say.........SCV
Lance
If you mean they might go back to shows like '98-'01, then it'll be "friendly" for this fan, that's for sure.

TommySopranoContra
Hmmm you never know! :P Phantom Regiment and SCV are pretty conservative.
MBDC Plaza
Ehhh....move up in placement? If Vanguard 2005 had the same talent level (I heard this year's corps was young), and innovative design of the 1999-2004 shows, there is no question in my mind that the '05 show would have placed higher than eighth. Moving up in placement has nothing to do with having a "weird" show. If I'm not mistaken, SCV 2004 placed third with an "old school" fan friendly show after placing fourth, fourth, fourth, and fifth from 2000-'03. Well not really the amps, I think the pit should be plugged in to save the life of the instruments, But he VOCALs got to go. I found them more distracting and took away from the shows.
