CapRegTimp04
Alright, so did anyone else find the ringing bell annoying? Or was I the only one who heard it? Has there been anything else like this at past finals? I don't recall anything like that last year...and I hope it doesn't make the dvd haha... USNA90_Mello
It was the service elevator on the left (finals night). Was sitting up in the upper deck and it was very noticeable. I think I can hear at least one occurence of it in every recording I have listened to so far from the week. I just really hope the audio engineers doing the final performance audio's and DVD's for us, will be able to filter it out. I cringe at spending my 98 bucks (which I will anyway) and then hearing ..."BRRRRINNNGGG." Bob
babyface ellison
During the show I realized that the 2005 CD's/DVD's should be titled "The 2005 DCI World Championships, featuring Foxboro Stadium on bells!"
gbass598
Luckily, Gilette Stadium is under 21. If it was Foxboro Stadium, all corps might have been disqualified for an overage bell player.
That70'sLancer
Why didn't the coordinators catch this bell on a walk around? Or are they professional enough to do walk arounds anymore? Maybe the bell is a state law, but surely something could have been done, even if only to stuff a rag in it for 3 hours. <**> Edited August 22, 2005 by That70'sLancer
Spenser7
I didn't notice a bell at Quarters or Semis (same seats as Finals, just the opposite side). Since the sides were switched for finals, maybe no one realized the bell was going to go off constantly. Maybe...but it doesn't make sense that one side of the stadium would have an alarm-bearing elevator and the other wouldn't. Maybe it was a lightning alarm. It was actually a test to determine the powers of focus of drum corps fans. Did most of us pass?

Spenser7
pass what? b**bs <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pass the test of not being distracted by the bell and enjoying the corps in spite of it; kind of like ignoring "Yowza" and appreciating the good parts of BD...
