Of the 2006 season for the Bridgemen Alumni drum & bugle corps.

It will all start with an open house which will be held on Saturday September 24th at 7:00 p.m. The open house will be held at the Senior Citizen building( old St.Andrews Chapel) on west 4th street(next to St.Andrews Church) in Bayonne.

The Bridgemen Alumni Mini Corps performed today, in Bayonne, at a very touching, and heartfelt candlelit ceremony in honor of the men, women, and children that lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

We were joined by a small contingent of musicians from the Bayonne High School

Band, under the direction of their band director, Mr. Serge Puchinsky, who is

also a member of the Bayonne Bridgemen Alumni Corps.

The memorial service was held on First Street in Bayonne, in view of the Bayonne Bridge, resplendent in red, white, and blue lights...and we were also in direct view of the towering beacons of light emanating from the site where the World Trade Center once stood. There were over 1,000 people in attendance.

Our performance included "The Star-Spangled Banner", with a vocalist, "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", and "Taps", at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Thank you to all performers for another outstanding performance, and one that was "from the heart". Our corps members never cease to amaze me, and the high school students were equally amazing.

On behalf of the Bridgemen, and everyone that performed with us in Bayonne this evening, may I say that it was truly an honor, and a privilege to pay tribute to everyone who lost their lives on that fateful day, in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.

Tonight, and always, I am PROUD to be an American, and PROUD to be a member of such a wonderful organization as The Bayonne Bridgemen Alumni Corps.

God Bless America.
