Tjis comes up every six months or so....but it's always fun!

Al Chez -- trumpet for the David Letterman band -- Garfield Cadets, soprano, early 80s...posts here occasionally

Chad Sexton - don't remember what band he's in...86-87 Sky Ryders, Snare

Carla Azar -- drummer for Autolux, 84 BD, snare

Scott Cuthburt -- ORIGINAL drummer for Everclear...84 BD, tenors

And no matter what anyone tells you -- Madonna did NOT march Bridgemen EVER....that's something they would DEFINITELY hype if it happened....debunked numerous times...

I've heard rumors that Travis Barker of Blink 182 Marched Carolina Crown...

I've also heard rumors that the drummer for the Metal Band Pantera marched BD.

.......Although, I've never seen any evidence or literature to support these rumors.

If I remember correctly (He performed at DCI for a few years, and they announced it), Al Chez marched The Cadets

Here's some info on him, if you don't know of him:

Al spent several years touring with Tower of Power, subbing on and off for Lee Thornburg. He did his first gig in 1988 (Earthquake Relief in San Francisco) and his last in 1995 (opening up for Ray Charles at Lincoln Center New York ).

He also played (and is credited) with the TOP horn section on the Spyro Gyra album, Dreams Beyond Control (1993). Al has also performed with Bon Jovi and the Robert Cray Band among others.

Al was the first New York player in Tower of Power (not counting Tom Bowes). Since then, Al has been followed by Dave Mann, Barry Danielian, John Scarpulla and Don Harris. Currently, Al is the featured trumpet player on THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN

I've never seen this answered:

Is Al Chez Alan "Goober" Chesnovitz? It would make sense, but I've never seen it brought up that way. Goober was great in 80 and 81.
