Crossmen have have some positive changes in the off season.

new brass staff

new drill designer.

new director.

lots of returnes.

look for top 10

also Cap. reg. in top 12

Blue Stars in semis

I've always really enjoyed the Xmen and hope they return to the top 12 in 06, but having a new staff isn't always positive. The staff turnover in 05 (perc, drill, brass) IMO, contributed to their slip to 14th, not to mention coming out two weeks late.

coming oiut 2 weeks late hurt xmen bad.

they were picking it up last week.

as for staff ,it all depends on the changes

I believe the changes in 2005 were for the worst.

in 2006 they are for the better.

I'll take a stab...

1. Phantom for their 50th

2. BD because 4th doesn't cut it

3. The Cadets 'cause the door must go

4. Bluecoats 'cause they can only go up

5. Cavies 'cause it's their turn to take a fall

6. SCV 'cause they do not belong lower than this

7. Crown 'cause I don't see them falling

Okay, I ran out of witty things to say

8. Madison Scouts

9. Boston Crusaders

10. Spirit

11. Glassmen

12. Crossmen back in Finals

most people in this thread have looked over the colts as if they had'nt made any accomplishments in '05. everyone seems to be talking about crossmen and spirit (two great corps i might add) but dont put it past the colts in 06'. they are definatley finals material.

very true. BUT Crossmen haven't missed finals since 88 (I'm pretty sure) and everyone misses them.

How can you know this until you see the full product on the field?

Answer: you can't.

BUT, I'm sure the Colts will put out a great show like they always do and I won't be surprised in the least if they jump up to 12th place, or at least 13th. But until we see a show, everything is just pure speculation.

I hope you're right. The winter brass staff dcifan 2002 listed is an very impressive bunch. I still have my doubts about some of the other captions.
