You would think the population density on Long Island, the Lower tier or Rochester/Buffalo would be enough to get something truly competitive in gear. Plus there is enough drum corps memory and infrastructure still present. Even if money is the issue, Long Island should easily be able to suport a Div. 1 corps. I wonder the very same thing about Eastern MA. A lot of BAC is out of state and the Spartans and ECJ don't seem to be able to get the numbers in very densely populated areas.
