LaSqueegee
Cavaliers 2000 was a great show visually, and I guess the drumline was great too... (I'm not a percussionist)... but horns where pretty bad. not balanced, often at the edge, of course G bugles didn't help... thank god they changed in 2002... and that's the year I started enjoying cavies' hornline. Cavies first year in B flat was 2001 :)
LaSqueegee
I think 1998 Cadets has to be considered the cleanest show of all time!!!

profhill
Cavies percussion got 3rd in 2002.Behind BD and Cadets. Just a point of clarification. The Cavaliers were 3rd behind The Cadets and SCV in percussion that year. The Blue Devils were fifth behind The Glassmen. soldier81
If you want to hear clean go to the 27th Lancers homepage and click on mp3 downloads, click on 1980 and listen. They also,IMO, had the best colorguard. To loose by a tenth, to a boring BD show is stll beyond my grasp... :sshh: :sshh: :sshh:

FH4life
Cavies first year in B flat was 2001 :) You're right... and I knew that =) What I mean is that they changed the way they sound in 2002... the second year with Bb horns and the second year with Bertman as Brass Caprion Head. 2001 still was a pretty "at the edge" hornline =)

I always wondered what the 2001 corps would of scored with a better brass sound...we then found out in 2002!!! b**bs Edited December 8, 2005 by LaSqueegee
BennyASU
I think 1998 Cadets has to be considered the cleanest show of all time!!! visually i would agree without a doubt. i have watched that show MANY times just looking for some kind...ANY kind of interval error, and they are just about #### near impossible to find. Technique was consistent from performer to performer, each set was picture perfect like everyone had just counted off their spot, and there werent any awkward transitions because the design was primo and very demanding.
