1982 legacy thoughts

1982 Blue Devils is one of my all-time favorite shows. The telecast video doesn't do it justice . . . though thank God the voice-over commentary was edited out of the "Legacy" DVD. My memory of that show is experiencing it live in Evansville, Indiana. I will never forget that. Few shows have thrilled me from beginning to end the way that one did! :worthy:

Me and a couple of buddies from the horn line watched them at Lynn about a week before DCI, and before T.O. was over, we knew that they had the championship locked up. I hated to admit it, but they were incredible. We were fighting for 2nd. The energy of the marching and playing was over the top. The horn line was the best I had ever heard to that point, and the guard was fantastic. Hats off to the 82 Blue Devils.
