yellowbusredux
Top 12??? They will make the top 10 easily, possibly even top 7. They are catching up to SCV fast. Their show is dark, but cool. Great music, interesting approach to marching, different visual design, and as far as execution is concerned, they are improving at a fast rate. BK is back and on fire!! If they can keep this same exact staff together next year, add in one or two more really great techs to each section, and stick with this current artistic direction for awhile to come, then watch out!!! The Denver area has a lot of talent, and others from around the country are sure to head out that way as well because of their quality organization. BK in 2007 = top 6 BK in 2008 = top 3 Edited July 8, 2006 by yellowbusredux
bstar82
I just saw Blue Knights at Hillsboro... You have no need to worry Yes I stopped worrying when I caught them in Walnut Creek last week. The progress they have made since the last couple of days in Denver before tour are as Mark Arnold would say"are like night and day". I think what has helped a lot also is this corps is a little older and has more veteran leadership than previous years. The kids I housed all have another year to go and they have mentioned how they could age out quite a large number of kids after 2007. But the corps looked really ragged during all days. Could have had something to do with that and the unexpected record heat wave that hit Denver in June. One of the kids showed me his watch which melted on a astroturf field and it recorded a temperature on the field of 116 degrees. I also think SCV has a lot of cleaning ahead of them, but the potential for their show hasn't been reached. I wouldn't be surprised if they hold off BK by the end of the year, but I hope not!! They have stuck with this very interesting viusal approach and have made it their own. Kudos to the entire Blue Knights Organization !!!!! The real question in this thread should read Will the Blue Knights make the top 8 ?? Talk about your " dark " horses. Good luck to them .
