Blackstar
I always find the "I cringe when I see drumline" to be quite funny. That movie could have done more for the activity then any ESPN2 telecast. Just like Band Camp it's a movie and most movies do stretch the truth but it gives people an idea of a little of what we do. What would a drum corps movie be like. If it's anything like the people on DCP it would be a bunch of I'm better then you, play loud and march fast people. The plot line would be GH secretly trying to take over the activity with the backing of a mencing Symphony conduter and toady Broadway Choreographer. Of course the good corps would beat the bad corps by winning GE and a record score. I side story of love between the handsome snare drummer and oh so attractive color guard captian. The only probelm is that they belong to rival corps. I can't wait for that movie

bartyount
Not only did Wayne Downey write some music for the movie, he has a cameo in one of the very early scenes. He is also in a scene at the very end. I just saw the movie about 2 weeks ago and when I saw WD I just had to laughed. We are all the biggest band geeks for actually knowing the guy that consulted for the movie! Then in the scene where they played Bb tuning and bits of BD's show in the background, I was so distracted I missed what was going on in the scene.
