Mistress Kelli
First competition I saw was Sound Expo in Sacramento, CA in 1990. Saw SCV perform Carmen and Freelancers perform Batman. I even found $100 in the parking lot that night. Of course years later, I realized it was probably some corps member's money and felt bad about it. Mistress Kelli
Oh yeah, and BD performed Tommy that year. I'm probably the only person in the world that liked that show.

OLE!!! Favorite corps of the night - Bridgemen!!! Loudest corps of the night - Spirit & Madison (at least from somewhere around the 5 yard line) A GREAT first show!!! stevie222
I remember seeing a snippet of the PBS broadcast in a Sears dept. store in 88, not knowing what it was but loving it and knowing I had to see more. The 1st show I saw live was that following year. My brand new band director took a few of us from the band to the Atlanta show: Cadets 76.3 Spirit 69.7 Crossmen 66.9 Suncoast Sound 63.8 Florida Wave 58.8 Southwind 44.3 Loved the show, then when I saw finals on PBS later that summer was hooked for good.
