I don't buy that Santa Clara will go down in score.

Given that SCV last score was such an outlier, especially compared to the corps ahead and behind them, and knowing only a little about the calculations used, I think it's no surprise that this method would predict a number that's a little less drastic. But obviously the numbers are earned on the field, and if SCV's numbers are in line with what they scored last time out, the prediction will adjust to reflect that.
