festive
So I shouldn't get an anniversary book????? Well, I got one, and it's OK. But the DVD is markedly better as a tribute to a great organization. As for the book, perhaps I was expecting more pictures, or more personal impressions from a broader cross-section of the people who make Regiment great. I would've personally enjoyed seeing the member journals enshrined (or at least portions of them) alongside the "official story." Don't get me wrong...I'm not sorry I bought a copy, and it's a decent book, but the DVD's stories and history give the Regiment's 50th considerably more weight, IMO. Rocketman
So I shouldn't get an anniversary book????? Well, it seemed to this old guy that there was the "beginning" and then from 87 on. I was very dissappointed at the lack of recognition for what occurred between 75-80. Mis-labled pictures and misspellings didn't help it's cause either. So, yes, it was underwhelming.
