JohnD
This is one of the major projects on our development calendar for the fall/winter - a major overhaul of our DCP Caption Ranking System. The present system's design, which was created several years ago, is not as flexible as we'd like .... and lacks the ability to include scores in formats other than DCI's. We'll be revamping to include DCA sheets and provide flexibility for the future. Look for a new, more complete and flexible Caption Ranking System for 2007. -john
MikeM
If I have time this evening, I can see if I can create a weighted system like what muschmelle (sp?) came up with for DCI. Or, I can just put them all into a spreadsheet with the numbers... IF I have time. Excel is a PITA.

MikeM
19 shows, averaging 5 corps per show. Man, I'll be inputting for 2 days. However, all the recaps are printed. Might have to call in a favor from a buddy.

Visual and Effect are fairly straight forward. :)

MikeM
I was afraid you'd say that.
Jeff
Ok..I need helpI need someone to explain to me how the Music Composite Score is obtained so I can make it a formula in excel. Visual and Effect are fairly straight forward. :) To get the music composite score you add all 4 brass and percussion scores (20 + 20 + 20 + 20 = 80) and then multiply by .375 (80 x .375 = 30) and like magic, you get the score. Not really all that complicated. Jeff
MikeM
I knew it was something like that...I just couldn't for the life of me figure out the .375 part (I actualy thought it was 5/8 instead of 3/8)
