the_sorcerer's_apprentice
Crown has definitely improved in the last few years. I love the chocolately smooth sound.

Jared_mello
Crown 03-06 (I DEFINITELY wouldn't include 02 in that; 02 was definitely a solid brassline with a great book, and 03 was one of the worst finalist hornlines of all time, IMO). Bluecoats 00-06, though 01 was pretty strong. The demand wasn't there that year visually whatsoever , so I feel like it's applicable to mention. Glassmen 97-99 Phantom 02-06. No wayyyyy their 2000 was worse than anything in the years following it. Cavies 97-99. The 96 line was solid (especially in the low brass), and a lot stronger than 97. 99 may have possibly been a little smoother than 2000, though I really like the 2000 hornline as well. I would consider pushing the improvement to 2002, though. Seattle 01-
Loud-is-good
I'd take PR back farther:00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 00 was a monstrously good hornline. Way better than 01 and probably a little better than 02 (depending on what you value most).
