FlamNCheez
Nice sized battery there! We actually had a snare drummer on vacation too...the nerve of some people :) What's nice is there is a lot of interest in the drum line for next year! We're getting a nice mix of young and experienced people. Thanks for writing! :)

27thAvantCadets
The future of Excelsior is most definitely going to be bright...but whether on the field of competition or touted as a great parade and exhibition corps next season, it is sure to be fun, a learning experience and an opportunity to make some great friendships that will last a lifetime. We extend a warm welcome to anyone who is interested. Please keep an open eye to our website for some very exciting announcements to be made in the coming weeks. Much like Arsenio Hall used to say..."Things that make you go Hmmmm", well these announcements are sure to be "things that make you go WOW!!!!!" Skylander
After two years of hard work by our members and staff alike, Excelsior has made their premier exibition at a DCA show this summer and now on our web site you can see us at that show. Although our goal is to eventually enter into the field of competition, we are proceeding cautiously into the future and currently operating as a parade corps. When the time is right we will bring the Albany NY / Pittsfield MA areas back into the field of competition for the first time in many years. The above photo you will not find on our web site, but it is a sampling of what you will find there. To access the gallery go to: http://www.excelsiordrumcorps.org/photogal...ngston-2006.htm They say a picture's worth a thousand words. Check out the other 48,000 at the above address! FlamNCheez
They say a picture's worth a thousand words. Check out the other 48,000 at the above address! The corps was fortunate to have some great gigs in 2006. In Pittsfield on the 4th of July, Troy Flag Day, the Kingston DCA show and most recently the Troy Uncle Sam Parade, the corps has created a lot of buzz (and picked up some members in the process). The corps has accomplished a great deal in its short existence and should be proud. If you are in Albany on October 7, come see us in the Columbus Day parade. It's always a great event! Look for some big things coming to Excelsior soon! Ever Upward!!! b**bs
