  1. Those darn larger corps, they're just out there to put you down. That is, of course, until the day you find yourself in one. Ya know, they all secretly get together in smoke-filled rooms with secret handshakes and plan your demise! It's just like in the movies!
  2. yeah! Nevermind if it doesn't make any sense! Logic be ###### in the name of tradition!
  3. i for one hope the Renegades step-it-up next season. great people. better that than listening to Lee whine and take shots at the more intense corps in the circuit by deriding them and 'negatively' comparing them to DCI corps - as if that is the root of all evil. lol. root of all evil. me funny.
  4. you must have missed the memo – this is “all-age” corps not “alumni” corps. was you dig directed at corps that actually march around and have a visual program? not sure. time to hit the treadmill I guess, but don’t get your panties in a bunch over it all, it ain't worth it.
  5. please. you are much funnier when you aren't trying to be funny. just stick with your old westshore shtick. the "rent-a-graves" will make it to NY if not in body then in spirit. either way we're talking about them again for which i must now go poke myself in the eye.
  6. DaveDrum said what he came to say, whatever. some of which i agree with some i don't Tom Da'Bum just came here to pick a fight. My take is that Scranton did ZERO to promote this show and that's why it was so weak. What by adding to class a corps the stands would have been all-of-a-sudden full? No. By adding an alumni corps there would have been a run on tickets? I doubt it. People don't really give a hoot about drum corps unless it has some history within that area which still has some collective memory of the old-days. - which is why it may be hard to expand to new areas without some really creative promotions. *i.e. renegades come to mind* now go crawl back in your hole Tom - and I'll crawl back in mine.
  7. you've been waiting all day for someone to take your bait. amateur. welcome to the ranks of the idiotic and unimportant.
  8. now that we've dispensed with the $1 to Jeff Ream "highest score wins" cop-outs... i suspect Bush is happy they are not mentioned here. gets them fired-up. i see a closer race at 2nd-4th Bush-Cabs-Empire Cabs-Bush-Empire Cabs-Empire-Bush Bush-Empire-Cabs Empire-Cabs-Bush Empire-Bush-Cabs
  9. ??? wow thanks for that tid bit. remember to use the PM feature for senseless personalized drivel. this is why i call you out. so far you've added no direct commentary to this discussion. yes i'm harsh, that's my m.o. at least trevor (and others) added to the discussion even though they disliked my presentation. now, back to your regular requests for members to post sexy pictures of their female corpsmates - that should help make our activity look respectable and professional. lisalisa and kelly at least caught on to the flawed logic of age issues! the renegades are a great group - and i do not associate anything trevor says with his corps of choice. and yes, both sides of my bed are the "wrong side" when i wake up.
  10. I can’t explain your narrowsightedness, but I can explain why you are wrong. What does being over thirty have to do with spinning and moving around? Are you talking about wheelchair bound 30+ year olds? Perhaps those with a knee replacement? The color guards who you are referring to have PLENTY of members over 30, and I don’t hear them whining. (I’ve seen them) What, you can’t move and spin and such when you turn 30? Many of these folks could spin circles around novice teens – not to mention outperform them in a triathlon. Why can’t 30+ years olds move again? Are they all overweight and poorly trained in your world? Was training, conditioning and fitness part of your shortsighted assessment? Sounds like you could help yourself by practicing harder. That’s all the advice I can give ya. Come see for yourself. If your looking for validation as to why your corps doesn't perform as well as some "other" DCA corps, you've barked up the wrong tree.
  11. Wow. I can’t think of a more irrelevant attribute. The fact that anyone would point to average age BEFORE considering the obvious attributes of a successful program is simply baffling. I would wager that the average age of most “top ten” corps is very VERY close, perhaps only a few years – many have highschool and college aged members, and many twenty-somthings, and a fair amount of thirty-somethings and even a smaller amount of 40+ members. – and what does that tell you? Nothing. Young members can be clueless marchers and weak players – just as older members “can” have reduced stamina and whatever. What about overweight players - are they younger or older? What about out-of shape players-can they be young or old? What about poor musicians, are they older or younger by definition? Ya see? All Irrelevant. It takes no more than looking at the obvious: The organization. Good leadership? Good management? Stability? More disciplined? More Money and better fund-raising? And then… Creative Staff. CREATIVE STAFF! They are not all created equal. No sir. Not even close. Brigs in the 1990/2000’s – not just good big because they were big, but because they were successful as an organization. Bucs today? Same thing. Empire in the 90’s? Cabs for a heck of a long time!! Still convinced that average age has something to do with their successes? I have a bridge I’d like to sell ya.
  12. Don't start your own thread with the Binghamton scores, choose Keith Hall's thread to post them in. He really wants to know what they are. I'm sure *you* were just sitting on your hands with the scores just waiting to until he asked for them. SIGH.
  13. No need to answer, I just wanted to see my name on the webpage. Note to Mods, I promise not to antagonize again for at least three weeks and four days. *fingers crossed*
  14. Are you really that dense? Of course he is anonymous. That's the point. Without anonymous posts this place would just be - a non-place filled with uninteresting drivel. Just like a free-press, anonymity is necessary. The only problem is you don't understand that. I'd much rather read Browniebrick's muck-raking heartless posts than ones about your personal website. That's just the truth - like it or not, agree with it or not.
