It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of David Wesley Roberts to the DBC as Director for the 2007 Season. David is a graduate of Jacksonville State University and currently resides in Georgia as Director of Bands for the Telfair County School District, but will be relocating to the great state of Texas in 2007. David has been in and around the Drum Corps activity since aging out of the Santa Clara Vanguard. His energy and creativeness are right in line with the direction we want for the DBC and brings a fresh new vision for the YPA’s founding program. “I am looking forward to continuing the traditions of Revolution, while striving to take the corps to the next level. Revolution will continue to forever impact the lives of young musicians and fans, as well as maintain their outstanding status in the drum corps activity,” States Mr. Roberts. I hope that we can continue the tradition of having a Texas Drum Corps Preview with all junior (Revolution, Crossmen, and Trinity(?) and all-age (Gulf Coast Sound and Frontier) Texas corps.
