Put me on board with the SCV dislike train. I REALLY wanted to like it, but I just didn't. The music, the floor. I don't think guards should limit themselves by sticking to one part of the floor just because the floor is designed a certain way. SCV didn't particularly innovate with the way they used the floor, everyone seemed too close together most of the time and the flow of the staging was predictable. A blank canvas/floor would have been better to give the designers some breathing room. A noble idea to innovate with that floor, but so far, in my eyes, a failure. I honestly didn't like the choreography either, not enough nuance for my liking, no double takes of "Oh, what was that? I want to see that again). And some of the facings of the performers were awkward for reading the equipment (granted the angle of the camera was diagonally, but a good show is viewable from ANYWHERE in the house).

The bigger the guard the more you can get away with that walking crap. I watched it in 2006 SW class on fan network the other day and was wondering what was with all the walking. Walking/running is being rewarded too often just because it is clean. Isn't part of open and world class to layer body on equipment as they move around the floor? WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT!?

Unless there is a waiver of copyright for the show and the music (both of them, those designers are working artists) then it seems extremely wrong if not illegal to ohhhh sayyyy, make money off of the performances on a subscription based website. I am not even sure I like how WGI does it, but at least they are non-profit and do a whole ton for the community.

If you don't want feedback about a website that isn't even remotely well done. Then, don't post about it here! If you don't like what I have to say, don't read what I am writing! I love how this bothers you both when you KNOW I have a point. This rankings aren't going to be even CLOSE score wise. Perhaps rank wise.....but I doubt it! Oh and Houstonbaby, this didn't even involve you, your input is pretty much not even on topic (telling me what to do or say, really? This is a forum, we are able to voice our views if we want, maybe you don't know that with your 3 posts). I wasn't complaining because it would do no good, pointing out the faults in what is inherently wrong in the website and formula however might have set off a re-evaluation of the methods used. I even provided solid proof! Why not make the rankings more accurate and do a better job? Why not take the raw scores and find trends in them to make a new, better formula just for TCGC? That's right, because it's just for fun and 'close enough' is just fine. (if those initial rankings were going to be even close, spoiler alert, they aren't) The formula doesn't matter anyways because the units are not in direct competition with each other. These rankings are pretty much useless. I am creating a fuss simply because I am tired of these rankings sites that do not hold any water. It's pointless, you're wasting your time. There is really not much else to say.

LOLOLOLOLOL That shows how you did the projections not how you came up with the numbers for those projections.......but now I know how you did it, you copied guardbuzz (and yes, I've spoken up about guard buzzes rankings before being faulty as well) I have to get ready for work, but when I get off, I am coming back here and showing you why the rankings don't work out. Check last years SA scores from Friendswood from the second show at cypress, do your projection.......and then look at circuit championships. Its not even close.

You aren't even going to post the scores? Seems sort of 'incomplete'....... Oh, and trust me, I won't be visiting the site except to find errors or to see if you are keeping up, but passing off information as absolute when the information is more relative seems like a waste of time and also misleading to someone who might view the rankings as being in direct head to head competition. Maybe a disclaimer would be nice. The formula you use would also be interesting to see.....

TCGC rankings aren't really a good idea. The circuit is huge and not all competitors can be included to reflect all units at one time. Same problem with WGI rankings. A lot of Austin based units do not compete with Houston units etc. etc. until circuit championships. ps, btw, you are missing a unit in world class that has competed and worked hard.

It's too early for a lot of reviews. Most of us reviewers like to wait till a wgi event.

Did you try the review section of this sub forum? This is the way it is every year.

I wouldn't tweet during the actual performance, but rather in between and even then I don't think I would do it. When critiquing dance in school I would try and remember some key parts of the piece (costume etc.) and then see what else I recall. If I can't recall anything, then the piece wasn't memorable enough. Everyone has their own style though.

D'OH! I remember in HS playing in the Astrodome, that was......unique....lol. We counted 7 echoes. I seriously wonder what Reliant is like, anyone know?

Is there any chance that the live animals rule will be repealed this season? SSJ could create a G.E. box 10 with a herd or two.
