GGarrett
well I think for 2010 they should do "A Space Odyssey" ... and in 2020 they should do a show based on vision... and in 2050, I'll be dead.

Walter
What do you think about calling the Cavaliers's 2008 show Matrix?? Just think of the drill and the music that would go along with it... How about we come back in a year and discuss this ??
Orpheus
Judging by their four latest show concepts ... James Bond, Chicago, Machine, Billy Joel ... I think it's safe to say that '08 will be something that no fan is gonna predict, and it's a fair bet that it'll be thematically quite different than anything they've done in the past several seasons. It seems to me that, when it comes to selecting their repertoires, the Cavaliers are obviously doing their best to think outside the box they created for themselves in the early 00s. Although "Machine" was maybe a bit of a flashback, I think they'll be exploring more new territory in '08, and not looking backwards. Stick Stack
I believe the Matrix move was in the flugel horn quartet, not the ballad. This is correct. It was during the second half of the quartet, when the hornline is shiftin as a box to the left and lines are rotating inside them. I believe the move at the end of the ballad was dubbed the caterpillar. A Matrix show would be very cool. There is plenty to draw on, from imagery to visuals to music. I believe Cavaliers would be the best corps to do that type of show. On a side note, I hear of things in drum corps and marching band shows dubbed "The Matrix" all the time.
